Blood into blood

Before I was even a puppy, our scientists set out to develop an inert and non-toxic blood substitute that accurately mimicked the dynamics and flow characteristics of equine blood for use in the teaching of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis and reconstruction. The results were published in this open-access paper and since then, a number of researchers have worked to develop the recipes that were presented.

We are always keen to offer our support and hear about the results that are being generated. If you are part of the blood substitute family, please get in touch! team@spattered.co.uk
