We are celebrating the publication of the most recent edition of Crime Scene to Court: The Essentials of Forensic Science at Spatter/ED HQ with a cup of tea and an extra ginger biscuit.
This wonderful textbook provides readers with a solid foundation in forensic science - mainly because it is written by the people who practice it. I have a well-pawed copy of Edition 4 on my bookshelf but the new one will have pride of place!
The latest edition has been expertly curated again by Peter White, with the help of Niamh NicDaeid, and it has been updated and refreshed to reflect current developments and challenges in forensic science. Chapter 4 deals with Bloodstain Pattern Analysis and is authored by Jo.
Here's what Jo had to say about the launch of the new edition:
It is obviously a thrill be invited to contribute again to such an important and relevant text, but it is incredible to share the pages with some of the great powerhouses of forensic science. If you have a passing or professional interest in forensic science, or you are a forensic science educator, please add this book to your reading list!Â
You can pick up a copy directly from the Royal Society of Chemistry: https://doi.org/10.1039/9781837672240 but it gets a five-star review from me!
