40 HOUR BPA TRAINING

We recently delivered our 40-hour residential Basic BPA Training Course at The UK Resilience Academy near York. We love this venue!

The UKRA offers well-equipped teaching spaces with bespoke blood rooms, comfortable accommodation and access to the beautiful outdoors for a well deserved rest after a hard days work.

It was wonderful to welcome participants from across Europe including representatives from City of London Police, Lancashire Constabulary, Northumbria University, Forensic Access Ltd and Thames Valley Police. Over the course of the week, students built an understanding of BPA: starting with blood dynamics and the application of Objective Criteria to aid pattern interpretation, and culminating in the evaluation of BPA in complex simulated assault scenarios.

The teamwork was off the charts! The group worked brilliantly together and supported each other throughout the week and shared their own experiences of forensic investigation. We were delighted when everyone passed their final assessment and we look forward to seeing how they put their new skills into practice.

Here's what PARTICIPANTS had to say about the TRAINING:

"As a visual designer, BPA is far from my usual area of expertise—yet this course turned out to be one of the most exciting learning experiences I’ve had in a long time.
The mentors were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also fantastic at breaking down complex concepts in a way that made everything easy to follow, and offered constructive feedback throughout.
Despite coming in with a non-forensic background, I always felt welcomed and encouraged. I’m truly grateful for the experience and highly recommend this course to anyone curious and open to exploring something new".
"An absolutely amazing course!"
"Brilliant course, so much info packed in but taught well and broken up with practicals".
"Had an amazing week, learnt a lot and consolidated new knowledge with practical sessions and scenarios. Thank you! Fun and relaxed".
"Extremely informative and engaging course. Great balance of classroom and practical. Massively appreciative of you both sharing your knowledge and experience. Thank you so much".
"Fab week, without doubt best training week I've ever had".
