Kryminalne Miasto (Criminal City) 2026 was a brilliant weekend in Wrocław.
Over two days contributors, experts, creators and the true crime community came together to share experiences, advocate for justice and raise awareness. We have always known that sharing knowledge is important, but this was on another level!
On Saturday afternoon, Jo Millington spoke on the Main Stage with the session:
Blood doesn’t lie: a British expert reveals the inside story of a case with a Polish connection.
The room brought together true crime audiences, forensic professionals, investigators, psychologists, journalists and creators. It created space for a careful and important discussion about evidence, investigation and justice.
The talk explored how bloodstain evidence can help us understand events, question assumptions and support the pursuit of justice. It also shared the miscarriage of justice case that resulted in two men spending 4 years in prison for a murder they did not commit.

The session also introduced the work of Inside Justice, a charity dedicated to investigating wrongful convictions. Their work is an important reminder that careful evidence review, open questioning and access to the right expertise can matter long after a conviction.
Here's what Jo had to say about the event:
It was a privilege to represent the incredible work of Inside Justice on the main stage and I was overwhelmed by the response, insightful questions and genuine kindness of people who spent time with me to chat and talk about their work - some even shared their aspirations to become forensic scientists (which I loved!). If you were one of them - thank you 🙏
A huge thank you to everyone who stayed after the talk, came over to chat and take a selfie and asked thoughtful questions. Kryminalne Miasto 2026 was an experience we will never forget!
