LEVEL 2 BPA TRAINING
We recently delivered our 40-hour Level 2 Basic BPA Training Course to participants with various backgrounds from Winchester and Cranfield Universities, Metropolitan, Thames Valley and Staffordshire Police.
Their BPA journey started by building an important understanding of single blood drops and the factors that influence stain features, and by day 2 they were investigating more complex pattern types.
Day 3 is the day when students have the opportunity to put their BPA knowledge to the test and assess patterns that they have created in different scenarios. It is always a thought-provoking session and a powerful way to start to understand the strengths and limitations of BPA.
It is a massive privilege for us to watch the students work together and share their individuals skills and experiences as they progress through some really challenging bloodstain patterns. By day 4 and 5 they are reflecting on the foundations that were laid down on day 1 and using them to underpin their interpretation of spatter stains and evaluate bloodstained items and scenarios.
We are so proud of what the students achieved in a relatively short space of time and cannot wait to see their careers go into the stratosphere from here 🙌💫
