1-DAY BPA TRAINING

We recently delivered our 1-day practical BPA training course for Crime Scene Professionals to forensic and crime scene professionals, academics, researchers and enthusiasts from the UK and overseas. Participants from City of London Police and Bradford University worked collaboratively with individuals from outside of the industry and wanting to develop knowledge and skills to enrich their CVs. We love delivering training to individuals from different backgrounds because their perspectives and experiences enrich our training courses.

The aim of this one-day introductory course is not to produce 'BPA Experts' but to provide foundation knowledge in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis so that participants can build an understanding of how BPA can be used in an investigation and identify its strengths and limitations in a crime scene context.

Classroom-based teaching is supplemented with practical training sessions delivered in our bespoke blood rooms at the UK Resilience Academy. Hear it, see it, do it is a common theme in our courses and the hands-on sessions give participants the chance to investigate for themselves the factors that affect bloodstain production.

A massive shout-out to the team at the UKRA for their support and hospitality during the day ... we can't wait to go back!

Here's what PARTICIPANTS had to say about the TRAINING:

"I thought the course was brilliant - I would stay for the week-long course if I could!"
"This course will help me with my research in BPA"
"The practicals were interactive, informative and exciting"
"Great teaching styles and attitude Jo"
"Content is concentrated to be exactly what is required as a CSI - not too much and not too little"
